چکیده
It has now been established that both the simple and heterocyclic sulphonamides may undergo both acetylation and oxidation in the body (cf. Williams, 1945, 1946, 1947; Dobson & Williams, 1946; Stubbs & Williams, 1947; Bray, Neale & Thorpe, 1946; Gilligan, 1945; Scudi & Silber, 1944; Weber, Lalich& Major, 1943). In the simpler sulphonamides, such as the o-, mand p-aminobenzenesulphonamides, oxidation occurs in the benzene ring, whereas in the N'-substituted sulphonamides, sulphapyridine and sulpliaquinoxaline (Bray et al. 1946; Weber et al. 1943; Scudi & Silber, 1944), oxidation occurs in the heterocyclic ring and acetylation in the benzene ring. The object of the present work was to find out whether in vivo -oxidation and acetylation were related. These two processes could occur in four ways: (1) acetylation followed by oxidation of the acetylatedmolecule, (2) oxidation followed byacetylation of the oxidized molecule, (3) simultaneous oxidation and acetylation of the same molecule, and (4) oxidation and acetylation as separate reactions involving different molecules of the compound:

Study on Trend of Biodegradability of Phenolic Compounds During Photo-Fenton Advanced Oxidation Process
Phenolic acids constitute a major group of pollutants which are recalcitrant to common biological treatment. In this study synthetic wastewater containing a mixture of p-coumaric and p-hydroxybenzoic acids was evaluated for photo-Fenton pretreatment. The changes in biodegradability (ratio of biochemical oxygen demand to total organic carbon (TOC)) and mineralization (TOC removal) were monitored...

Psychiatric disorders are important health issues in the world, and their management is facing some serious challenges. Drugs that are widely used in the treatment of psychiatric disorders, including antidepressants, antipsychotics, and mood stabilizers, are often associated with many side effects and are adequately effective only in a small proportion of patients. Many factors, including genet...
متن کاملP-98: Effect of Mouse Embryo Vitrification on Histone Modifications
Background: Vitrification has been usually used as an assisted reproductive technology in animals and humans. This method needs high concentrations of cryoprotectants that can be toxic with high cooling degrees. Then, vitrification could be change histone modifications such as methylation and acetylation can performance as regulatory controls of gene transcription. So, the purpose of the presen...
